What we do:
We send out news, stories and items of local interest, currently on C90 cassette, but are hoping to change to USB memory stick in the near future.
Who is it for?
People with impaired vision or who are unable to read a newspaper for some reason and wish to keep up to date with local events.
Listener subscription is free.

Items taken from the Middleton & North Manchester Guardian, which is issued each Thursday

Becoming a volunteer:
We are a team of volunteers formed in 1979 who meet each Thursday at Alkrington United Reformed Church to carry out the recording and administration required in distribution of the recordings. The work involves a wide range of skills, reliability and commitment being essential. If you feel you could help us please get in touch with us using the contact details above.
